  After being away from the Church of God for many years, I started going again with my wife and mother-in-law about a year ago. It was like coming home as I knew a few of the old-timers and got to know a lot of new families. We had been going, off and on, to Nazarene Church's for almost 30 years and were quite comfortable with their worship services. To our delight, we found the Church of God, here in Santa Maria, to be a perfect combination of old and new styles of worship. Pastor Phil Canipe is a wonderful, personable and well schooled Senior Pastor. The two Associate Pastors add a depth and style of worship and praise that is a joy to experience. The music is always upbeat, lively and refreshing as it sets the tone perfectly for the Pastor's weekly message. This small church has a rich tradition and history and is based on the same solid Rock Jesus talked about. Going every Sunday feeds my families spiritual needs to the fullest.
